Facebook, the popular social media platform that has taken the world by storm, has always been known for the countless tweaks and feature adjustments throughout its history, and it is now preparing another one, this time for its “groups”.

While for most people groups are somewhat a feature you only use when your friends invite you to them, there are huge groups you can enter segmented by interest, and you can already share a lot of content and even have group chats in those pages.

Now, Facebook wants to encourage more people to find those groups and spike up the interest in this feature by testing a “Discover” perk on a random user base segment, so if you see that feature already you were on of the select few.

To see this feature, you can click the “more” tab and then the “groups” tab if you have it.

If you don’t have it, know that the Discover tab will bring 25 categories onto the table, themed differently such as Funny, Animals, Professional Networking and more.

You’ll also receive suggestions based on your interests and on the groups your friends partake in, so those will be highlighted, much like the people you have lots of friends in common are in the friend suggestions.

Even if you don’t click any of these group categories, you’ll see the top of them listed in this tab, so you can easily get an overview of the groups’ scenario by scrolling your page down.

Mashable was told by the social media giant that the Discover feature has been getting positive feedback, and so they are expected to roll it out to more users.
