Last night, Jen-Hsun Huang, NVIDIA’s CEO, went up to one of the largest gaming event BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) on the planet that took place at the Convention Center in Austin. Most of the participants expected Huang to unveil the next generation of GeForce main cards for PC games, and that’s exactly what happened, when it introduced the GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070.

The new GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 are built on the same 17nm FinFET manufacturing process as the company recently announced based on Pascal GPU Tesla P100 data center, and will allow players to play in graphical GDDR5X memory. Both cards are equipped with 8GB of memory, and the GeForce GTX 1080 specifically demonstrated running with a core clock memory interface of 2.1 GHZ and 5.5 GHZ. The real bomb-drop came when  Huang went on to proclaim BOTH the GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 will be faster than the company’s previous generation monster $ 1,000 flagship graphics card, the GeForce GTX Titan X, but are priced at $ 599 and $ 379 respectively. Once these cards hit our test bench, and if this all proves out, this could very well mark the best high performance 3D graphics value proposition NVIDIA has offered gamers in a very long time

The new cards marked a multiple leap in performance and a reduction of graphic costs. The $ 379 GeForce GTX 1070 especially will offer PC gamers with modest budgets a level of performance they always dreamed about.

Being one of the companies that likes to reveal new features, this time the new release of GPU did not disappoint, as they announced that its Ansel technology will allow players to stop a scenario with the ability to move in 360 degrees’ environment using the VR technology.
